Bonfire Night
It is usually safer to go to an organised display on bonfire night, but if you do decide to throw your own fireworks party, please bear in mind the following advice.
You can find out more information about bonfire and firework safety on the Dorset Fire and Rescue Service website.

.
- Keep children away from fireworks and lit bonfires. Never leave bonfires unattended.
- When using sparklers, always wear gloves and hold the sparkler at arms length. Supervise children at all times. Sparklers are not suitable for children under 5.
- Remember, sparklers stay hot long after they have gone out – don’t touch the lit end once it has gone out.
- Never go back to a firework once it has been lit.
